I'm not sure what to think. I think I'll just stick with Windows 7.

I've run W8 beta for a bit, good thing is you can now boot from a usb stick....something you couldn't' do with W7 or previous. Also the ribbon GUI from the office suite is now standard across the interface - hope you like it.

I really don't think the iPhone has anything amazing from a UI functionality.

I am referring to the whole touch and slide through menu interface it has. I never saw anything like this until the iPhone popped up. Mobile devices, computers, etc all seem to have it now.

They just happened to be demonstrating it on something like a HP touchsmart or equivalent. You can still use a mouse/keyboard if you prefer.

7 works great. I won't be messing with 8 until I know it'll work correctly.

It'll be a pretty sweet O/S for touchscreen devices for sure, same apps available for all intel procs, and then a set of apps for ARM procs.

It's definately a step in the right direction to compete with the tablet and phone market. But not so sure how it'll be in the Business market. One of the things a lot of IT folk like about Windows 7 is that it's built on Server 2008 R2 technology, and runs pretty damn smoothly, where vista was just early 2008.
