Probably. But if I have 15k to dump on a toy, I'd think there were better options. No need to be sensitive about it. Make a 700hp monster out of it for cheap if that's what you're into.

    Hell, I like beaters... lol.
I got a decent deal on it and thought it would be a fun toy to cruise while flippin it for some cash. I've been flippin cars for cash for quite awhile now and doing well with it. I've fixed ALOT of things on this car most people wouldn't because I didn't want to one of those people who sell basketcase cars. So I fixed everything right.

Yeah, it's always the same few people who would never say shit about my wife in person. It is what it is.

As for the car - I like it. Probably wouldn't pay what he wants for it, but like it nonetheless. From what Steve has posted, he got fucked on the deal because the dude lied through his teeth (not accusing, I've only heard one side of the story and it was incomplete at best) and that sucks for anyone. Can't blame him for trying to recoup some of his loss on it. I'd drive the piss out of it. Those door panel inserts would have to go though. That's the only thing I'd change. Well, and fix the gauges and a/c. Texas is too damn hot for that no a/c shit.
Wow, cool. Thanks for being logical and level headed about it Brent. I honestly didn't expect it. Not that you aren't logical, just not taking the opportunity to be an e*asshat.

But he has had to go through that whole car fixing half assed shit from the previous owner. and i agree on the door panel inserts. I have ridden in that car and its a fucking beast. That was with a slipping clutch, i can only imagine how it is with the new one.
Yup, AC just needs to be charged. Everything is there, no big deal. It's not important to me because I only drive it on Friday nights for the most part. The car pulls HARD now with the new clutch. Good times.

He does have a bit of a point on that one. You were done with Mustangs, going to an old cruiser/hot rod, backed out of that, and bought another Mustang. The posts are there as proof, I'm just saying.... Did you get bit with seller's remorse on getting rid of the 93? Not that this car doesn't have a cool factor, but the 93 was pimp.

Yeah, I change my mind alot. So many hot rods to choose from. Sometimes I'd post it out of frustration with a car, or other times just to be facetious. I guess after so many in a row, it's easy to get comfortable and stay in the out of habit. I dunno why, but it's kinda scary going with another car that I'm unfamiliar with. Another odd quirk of mine I suppose.

Yeah, definetely. But I wanted something different too. The powerband of the Termy's are so much fun to drive, it was a hard deal to pass up. Just too comfortable with Mustangs I guess.

          • why don't you charge the AC?

when somebody won't take half an hour to an hour to do something simple and inexpensive, it makes buyers think that there must be an expensive and/or complicated issue that the seller isn't disclosing

Was just curious. Biggest mistake I ever made with my car hobby was getting rid of the GTA I bought from Adam. I tried to buy it back several times, and had cash ready to go on a few others I looked at, just never bit the bullet. I still say I'll have one eventually, but the next hobby car I get will be an old lead sled cruiser. Something I can cruise around in with the kids to the drive in, Keller's, stuff like that. I don't care so much about going fast anymore. Though if I ever do get another GTA it will get a stock LS1/6 spd swap. Not so much about going fast, more so just not being a ridiculously slow turd.

Point taken and noted. I just don't want to spend anymore on the car is all.

                • Hell, I STILL don't know what he wants for it. I just threw out a random offer. I dig the car, but if I have to fix gauges and A/C (just that I know of), then I was serious about the offer. If he wants more, no biggie. There's a buyer and seller for everything. The right ones just have to cross paths.

When he was selling his 93, I would have bought that if I had the money. His asking price was decent.

$50 worth of 134 will add an easy $1000 to the perceived value

Me and Adam were just talking turd gens the other day. I have a 98 T/A now and i love the LS1 platform. Was telling him how much id love to have another gta (had a burgundy 87 or 88...had to many cars to remember lol). Was an L98 700r4 car. wasn't horrible, but would be MUCH cooler in white or black with an LSX/T56 setup. I also had a few L98 Irocs. Cool cars but the GTA is just a better looking car.

AC and working gauges are 2 investments you will see a return on when you sell the car.

When i worked @ the Honda dealer, we assumed hot ac meant the whole system was bad and dinged trade values accordingly. I'm the same way when i look at aa car to buy.

The one I bought from him, short the missing wing and rims, was clean as fuck. I still hate the decision I made on that. Oh well. I bet it is still sitting under the carport I left it under, collecting dust, and I bet that cocksmoke still won't sell it. All because I didn't want to fuck with the electronics and digital dash.... I should have sold my solid roller stroker for what I could, and put it towards the LS swap.

I've always liked the Pontiac platform over the Chevy. I can't think of a single year I thought the Camaro looked better.

I just figured you were taking digs like so many others so I ignored it. But you aren't even in the ballpark on the price sir. Thanks for the offer though.
