Sounds like shit..............I have a low mileage 302 I will trade you. LOL
Sounds bad ass wheres the Turbo??
This is the pre-turbo stage of the project. The old motor was turbocharged, sold it and the turbo kit - and put this in the car. This motor probably makes close to what the old one did WITH the turbo. This one should be 1200RWHP by February or so.
I was about to ask why in the hell you had a dart block for such a small motor but then I remembered that stock ford blocks are junk when you try to make any kind of decent power.
Are you going to use the carb with the turbo or switch over to FI?

Yeah, the stock late model blocks suck on a whole new level. The one that came out of the car made 550RWHP, but who knows for how long.
Yeah, it's going to be carb'd with the new turbo setup, using the carb seen in the video - normally I wouldn't run an anular booster carb on something like this, but they damn sure work good in BT setups.
I'd like to think that it will make 1200RWHP with the turbo.

you're going to dyno it before and after right?
I'm curious to see how this turns out and how well it works out on the street.
I just can't get past the whole turbo lag thing, especially on a street car. I want it to go as soon as I hit the gas, not after it thinks about it for a little while.

Yeah, that's the plan. With THIS converter, it's going to be a pig with no turbo - but should show decent dyno numbers - I'd like to think something like 400RWHP, but it might not.
Like most any other "radical" street car, you typically don't stab the gas below 3000RPM, if you did - they'd "bog" for a bit and gradually build up RPM. Nitrous, you'd be foolish to hit it any lower than that anyways...so, with the boost in mind, if you stab it after it's met the same criteria - you'd be over in the ditch before you can let off (with this power level at least).

You clearly never saw me playing with my street car on nitrous. It wasn't that uncommon to hit the juice right off idle.
Now you can't really do that with a big amount but I used to have a plate with 42/42 pills in just for red light to red light playing.
I also wasn't making big power either, probably in the 450 range at the fly wheel, still fun though

LOL, yeah - I know you're a maniac behind the wheel. I bet you've launched that carb in orbit a few times doing that too.

Actually no, I've never tore anything up doing that, well other than a axle but it was stock so that doesn't count.
I had a trans brake on one street car for a little while and the converter was so tight it wouldn't leave very good so I wired up a small kit to turn on while on the trans brake and the other kit came on after the brake was relased it took care of the low end problem, that's also when the axle broke but again that didn't count.
