                          That's a good question, but not one I have an answer for. I just set it the way the cam card said to set them. It's 5 years old, but I seem to remember Hans saying it's supposed to be a tight lash setup.

                          When I get some time on it, I'll most likely try it a few different ways to see what it likes.

                            good deal cause i am curious as well.
                            I had no cam card and running 1.6I and 1.5E and was totally in the dark on how to set them up.
                            did some checking to get an idea and the valve lash was ALL OVER the place
                            i was told 20 was safe.

                              I figured that's where he was going with that, just wanted to make sure.
                              I don't get while people think you have to adjust valves all the time, if you do then something is wrong with the motor.
