    • I also removed the factory trans cooler about an hour ago and installed this 18,000gvw Ford Racing unit. I called Paul the Punisher off NLOC and he helped me figure everything out. Im picking up a trans temp gauge to monitor for awhile. Between this cooler, the 2800-3k stall, Derale Cooling pan and Circle D valvebody, my temps should be in check. If not then ill go with a royal purple MaxATF and if further cooling is needed then ill source a better cooler option. I also eliminated the radiator cooler as well.

            • needless to say 3/4 isnt enough for me......i feel the front needs another inch so 4/4 it is.....Going to order a pair of drop springs and then figure out whether i can get away with rolling the fender lips to run the 255s or if ill have to settle for the 245/65/17 STIIs instead. sucks because these things are BRAND NEW
              how she sits now

              couple engine shots

                • if you want to see more pics and a little more detail of the thread the first page or two here: http://www.nloc.net/vbforum/gen-1-li...nderway-2.html gives more info.

Ive been driving it more here lately and got her inspected today....80 bucks well spent lol

regardless i still need Charles to work his magic with the tune and then I can start hammering on it......... and for a teaser, this will be strapped in sometime soon hopefully. still need to upgrade the fuel system, crank pulley and injector and MAF first but i should have the kit in a couple weeks.

One off custom M122 gt500 blower kit made by a fellow lightning owner out of california.

                    • Always dug those first gen lightnings(much better than the later body).

Nice build! Looks way better lowered, they even look great with the stock wheels when lowered.
