BICYCLES ARE VEHICLES. They are good for the environment. They are good for the soul. They are good to stop being a fatass. They are good to reduce congestion in urban areas.

I hate the way a lot of roadie fags act when riding on the roads, but guess what? They ride that way because every time they ride they risk getting plowed over by some bitch putting on mascara, or some hillbilly asshole screaming about "You don't pay taxes" (Has happened to me).
I absolutely agree with you Adam, except that bicyclists don't generally obey the rules of the road. Here in SoCal cycling is quite common, but they don't obey the laws like they are vehicles. More than a couple times I have been forced into the other lane (with a vehicle beside me) because a cyclist wanted to keep on trucking. If they are "vehicles" then they obey the same laws that cars and bikes do. Hog the lane if you are riding, and I'll get over and go around, but don't come creeping up at the next light. Wait your turn like the rest of us.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too, either you're on a bike, or you're in/on a vehicle. If you're in/on a vehicle, then obey the same rules that other vehicles do.

Road speed limits are used in most countries to regulate the speed of road vehicles. Speed limits may define maximum (which may be variable), minimum or no speed limit and are normally indicated using a traffic sign. Speed limits are commonly set by the legislative bodies of nations or provincial governments and enforced by national or regional police and / or judicial bodies.

Like I said. They are vehicles, they should obey traffic rules. However, my own experiences illustrate the dangers of cycling on the road, and truthfully until you do ride on the roads, you won't realize how fucking ruthless some of these drivers are to cyclists.

Look up how many cyclists die each year in collisions with cars. I've never seen a cyclist blow a stop sign and hit a car, but I've seen the other way around plenty.

I ride every fucking day and spend most of my time on the sidewalks until it because more dangerous. The sidewalks around me are shitty or non-existent. I keep a solid pace. But people who pull WAY TOO FUCKING FAR out of parking lots/alleys/side streets before coming to a complete stop make it fucking impossible to not get hit or come to a complete fucking stop every time i cross one. Which forces me to ride in the street to avoid being blindsided. Now I constantly get honked at or hollered at like im really delaying the cars? Hit me and PRAY I don't live. I ride for recreation, exercise, and economical reasons. I say fuck anyone who thinks they are cute by getting close when passing. I have been on a power trip lately that anyone who honks gets an automated middle finger and a loud fuck off.

I have since bought this to keep me more visible. Its hella gay looking but most people cant tell what the hell it is at night and avoid me completely.

Unfortunately, riding on the sidewalk is bad news because cars can't see you as they pull up. A lot of accidents happen that way. And there is also the fact that sidewalks are pedestrian walk ways.

Do all bike riders have to play total fucking gay homo dress-up when they ride? You don't see me wearing a 3-layer SFI driving suit with a DefNder to drive my car to the store. It's almost like they try to outgay each other with their outfits....

Yeah the road scene is not my cup of tea. you dont need all that shit. just pedal faster on a real bike that doesnt jolt your ass when you run over a penny. Maybe they like it?

Do you wear running shoes and shorts when you run? If youre putting 30 plus miles in per ride, those stupid clothes keep you from beating your man gear to death. Spandex isn't my speed, but it does serve a purpose.

Lance Armstrong carbon fiber starter kit while riding down Spring Creek Pkwy in Plano like it's the Tour de France = ultragay attention whore IMO.

Put in 30-40 miles without those "gay ass shorts" and your choad will hurt for a week or more....

<-- has those "gay" padded spandex shorts...
