i ride but i'm also not a moron. i would pass someone with caution if they were going slower in front of me. i would do the same in a car, on a side walk, on a train...

i also drive, but I would not attempt to run someone off the road cause simply b/c my feelings are hurt about being passed.

I've dealt with 5 dead riders in the last 20 years. 4 of them had kids.


That's not "dayshift had a dead motorcyclist", that's "I've personally responded to five dead guys".

It's not nice coming to a scene and realizing that doing CPR is useless.

Just come out some day when it's nice and see all the citizen complaints dispatch gets about guys like you.

They get sent out as city wide broadcasts.

There isn't a single (nice) day in a 10 hour shift I don't see a broadcast about some jackass on a bike.

What everyone needs to realize, is that with all the testosterone flowing in here, is that NOONE knows what they will exactly do in any situaiton. Split second decisions are easy to monday morning quarterback.

The decisions people make in the blink of an eye take months for a courtroom to judge.

i dont complain. i'm a moving target every time i leave the driveway, i know the risks. if i have to speed or pass to stay ahead of the idiots then so be it. i hope you know where im coming from as a fellow rider...

absolutely, i just watch my ass. typically i ride no different than how i ride my car except i have 100% of my attention on the road.

i will take advantage of having 2 wheels by navigating around stopped cars if the road allows for it.
