It doesn't really matter if the guys on the bike are speeding, crossed yellow lines or whatever the fuck they did, but no one, especially a civilian has no right to take matters like that into their own hands and try and harm or even kill someone.
As far as the guy didn't try running him off the road he just "blocked him" bullshit, he had probably 12 inches between the side of his truck and the dirt. If some dumb ass wants to go 90 mph and hit a pole or run into the back of someone then that is on his grave, but no one has the right to try and do that. Period. Pissed off, bad day, it happens all the time around here, no excuse.
It is overkill and unfortunately it isn't Mr. Red Pickups responsibility to do it. That guy should have the shit beat out of him then layed out on the street to have a parade of motorcycles speeding by him.You don't ride someones ass who ran a red light and try and run them off the road do you? What about Cobraman and him speeding in his neighborhood? Would you run in front of his car and throw a brick into the windshield?

Collateral damage.
So by this statement, you are justifying just about every road rage incident ever. Had someone not cut someone off or flipped someone off, they never would have caught that beatdown or bullet in the head had they not "put themselves in that situation to begin with". Nice.
It takes two to tango.
Up until the attempt to pass, both riders had kept their bikes between the lines. Hell, even when the second rider was trying to keep up with the truck, he still managed to stay in his own lane most of the time.
Oh, that's right. I forgot that we saw ALL of the video. What a coincidence it's edited at the start of the incident. You are easily fed.
And? Since when is it legal for Joe Public to get into a high speed pursuit to "get a license plate number"? Did I miss that in drivers ed?
When is it legal for the bikes to do what they did?
I'm sure your superiors would like to know they have an officer that endorses the public taking traffic control into their own hands by being wreckless themselves. Can I call you as a character witness if I get in trouble for riding around with my crowbar, enforcing traffic laws?
Wait. *checks internet status* This is a message board right? You might want to educate yourself on the bill of rights. I still have some freedom of speech regardless of my employment status. If you feel the need to call, the number is published.
As far as the crowbar goes, knock yourself out. Just make sure Chapter 9 of the Penal Code covers your ass.

We all know cops drive 4,000 lb Crown Vics that can't catch anything with the power to weight ratio above a Craftsman riding lawn mower.
So you want the cops to enforce the bikes knowing that they can't catch them?
Nice logic there.

The only reason I even typed that reply is because a cop is saying it. That should be the last person trying to justify someone driving recklessly. I was just pointing out his stupidity for trying to justify the redneck driving the way he was which was about 100 times worse than the riders initial violation.
People think I can't be antagonisic or go against the grain because of my job.
Wrong.
Just because I do what I do, it doesn't mean that I can't have an opinion, or even that the opinion I type is how I really feel, or it's not in jest.

but, someone swerving at me trying to run me off the road? it's a no brainer, they need to know theyre putting my life at stake and i will react appropriately. call bs all you want bcoop.
So you're not one of those guys that does 130 in daytime traffic, splits lanes, or rides wheelies at 80 mph?
You don't ride in groups, block traffic, or slice your way through traffic like you own the road?
Well, it's nice to meet you. I saw someone like that on a sport bike once. It's been about 20 years, but I still remember him....

Keep rolling the dice. There's more than one way to skin a cat.
I might just be the one cleaning you off the freeway one day.

They get sent out as city wide broadcasts.
There isn't a single (nice) day in a 10 hour shift I don't see a broadcast about some jackass on a bike.
