  • WTH causes this on tires?

    Pic's will be uploaded shortly, but what the hell causes these bubbles on tires, and how bad to drive her car is it? Front tire on a Focus, maybe 10K miles on it.

                Yeah, I told her to contact Skip and see if it would be covered under the warranty, car is not a year old yet. It is a Focus tho.....

                      I had that happen to one of the tires on my Mustang not long after I bought it new. The dealership gave me a prorated warranty on the tire based on the mileage. They first pulled the tire to determine if it was damage vs defect.

                        Those are impact bubbles. Get that off the car now.

                        Potholes and other sharp impacts rupture the sidewall support and cause it.
