Sometimes, less is more, I can only imagine how it affected the light output of the fixtures...

Not only that, it increases temperatures inside the housings, possibly causing failure in both the bulb and harness.

Why anyone would want to degrade light quality with crappy covers/paint is beyond me.

I want to get 100% use of my headlights, but that's just me.

lol, it actually wasnt too bad, i could still see just as good as if they werent tinted. i dont know how that stuff works lol. it was just a cheap move rather than buying headlights with black inners...

originally, yes. im in afghanistan now, and yea i know i joined "dfw" mustangs, but i was told this is the forums i should join by someone who knows a lot of people on here, said there is a lot of helpful info on here so here i am. i like the site, and everybody on it. everybody i have asked questions so far has answered me and helped me out greatly.

no, if there's anything painted on the lights at all, it affects the light output, which is stupid. why would anyone want less light out of their headlights? that's like anyone that uses anything about a 8k bulb on HID's lol.

and black housings dont affect the light output. they just simply have a black housing, not black lens.

i understand what you're saying, and there is no such thing as a smartass response to me lol. the whole "spray tint" on the headlights thing, yea, its stupid, but like i said lol it was cheaper than buying headlights with black housings.

Minus the window sticker, I think it looks pretty good pre-blackouts. The interior has more red than I'm used to, but it looks fairly well done at least. All in all, good looking little sport-compact. I have heard that those Cobalts are pieces of shit though. My roommates friend just bought one so we'll see how that works out.

lol thanks, well i can tell ya a bit about what to stay away from with it. anything above 23 psi on the stock turbo, dont put an atmospheric BOV on it, ((tuning NIGHTMARE)) dont... lol.. dont get a tune that lets you go over 7000 rpm... ( blew 2 rocker arms off, both on separate occasions ) dont drive hard if over 350whp ( blew 2 transmissions, both on separate occasions ) 3rd gear is very weak. but, i guess its like any other car, some things happen and some things dont.

lol well it also RAN BETTER before i put a piece of, no,,, SLICE of shit hahn turbo on it. shoulda kept the stocker. FTR,,, im NOT a huge fan of big, ugly, shiny lights... looked like chrome, honestly, i hate chrome.

I don't disagree that it would look better smoked, like my 04 Mustang lights were, but I think the tint looks far worse.
