The closest hotel I could find with any rooms available is 40 miles away!

The section I'm going to wasn't hit too hard... our building just lost a part of the roof, but the server room is still in tact. We're getting them on generator power and hopefully back to business soon.

Thehamb.com has a group of people headed up there today to help out this weekend. They have several trucks and enclosed trailers full of supplies and they are taking things like chainsaws and a tractor to help out physically too. If we didn't have such a big group of people coming out to the lake this weekend my dad and I would have gone to help too. They have a paypal set up to accept donations so I helped by sending money.
Crazy crazy crazy

I got here today, and talking to the locals, they're having to turn away help. There are too many people showing up to help out, and not enough organization to keep people from stepping on each others toes.
It's awesome that so many people are lending a helping hand, but it's hard to get organized in these situations, you can't exactly plan for a tornado ahead of time.
