I was wondering about that.... doesn't really seem fair to have a 2003 car up against a 2011.

That's pretty much what happened. We did a complete walk around, me and the producer/camera man, and I was asked to give brief description of the mods on the car. I did what was asked of me. The interview lasted about 15mins or so. What they chose to edit into my "list of mods" were very simple fragments of what I gave them.

To clarify my suspension mods, as I noticed some previous comments regarding this, I only have lowering springs. The rest is stock, with the exception of the strut bar.

Here's a like to some more in depth photos of the car, which will explain some of the mods better than I can in words. I have a few more, but would have to dig those up:

Media Share - TEAM NEXTSTAGE: Chris Reno Photography:ARC Build:Prestige Motorsports:Veilside: - After approximately 3 years of building, the Z is near completion. Along the years I've had tremendous help from my teamates, friends, and even my ex GF.:icon38: Jason from Prestige Motorsports, stand up guy that makes...

In honesty, I was optimistic about the autocross and slalom, but knew it was a losing battle on the drag. Unfortunately I had no driving experience, mainly being a show guy, but I gave it my best shot. In the end, the Mustang driver prevailed, and he deserves the credit due to him.

I didn't want to see my forum left out of the competition, so I volunteered. Perhaps next year we can have a more formidable driver represent us...

Interesting how the description of the car evolved to '350Z has over 20K in suspension and brake mods'
Atlantic Blue '00 - '03 Cobra motor and TKO600, solid axle, full MM suspension
          Silver '01 Vette - D1 blown LS

I was just going off what I was told many months back when this was all in the works.

I do consider wheels/tires part of suspension mods though. So add HREs+Large ass brake kit+braces+springs and you get pretty dang close.

Last set of HREs I had was $1600 a wheel.
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

350 guy, you seem like a decent gent, and if you want to stay that way I would recommend not frequenting this forum or some of our jack-assery might go to your head.

Yeah, I wasn't necessarily blaming you. I just figured it was an internet or word of mouth type thing that got exaggerated as it propagated.

I can understand your reasoning. It did burn a nice little hole in my wallet.

I can understand how this happened. So many times do things get blown out of porportion, especially on the netz.

First of all, nice Z car. I've always liked them. Second, isn't that you who said that your car is far from stock in the video? Third, how did you manage a 16+ second 1/4 mile time in a car that should run low 14's easily, from the factory?
