    heh, I saw your lines on the damper where you went small medium and then what you finalized.

    My smoker was homemade too by my father-in-law. Think it is at or over 25 y/o now. I just wire brush it down every 2 years, slap on high temp paint and keep going. Yours should last quite awhile too.

        When I cut the holes in the door held a piece of metal behind it, traced and then cut it out. The first time I marked it was to design size. Then I opened it up a little.

            All these pictures have me wanting to try and make something now. I just started learning how to weld about a month ago, watched some Youtube videos on mig welding and made a bike mount that sits on the bed rails of my truck. The welds weren't too pretty but they will work. It's cool how even on a small project I could see the welds get progressively better.

                            You're right about that. It's in the backyard so I usually wait until most of them fall. There's a vortex in my yard, I'll clean them up one day, they blow back in the next.
