It's not the pulling that worries me, it's the stopping and controlling of the load that's important.

Dodge Trucks look better in picture than rollin on the street.

if you can afford $100 grand on a fancy pickup then your diesel bill is no problem

Those bigass Fords arent 100k are they? The SMKR guy pulled $100k out of his ass for a price on the Dodge.

                edit//// those F650's start at $57k

For a crew cab that is then sent off to be modified/upgraded with leather and bed you will be looking at right under $100.

That dodge will be much higher than a megacab. First of all it is based off a 4500 with rear air suspension etc, then the tanks. I bet the msrp in north of 60 in base trim.

That's gross. No way they are going sticker that truck to have a 50k GCWR.

The heaviest I ever was on my F-350 was 42k gross (9k truck, 33k trailer(s)) and was seeing around 9.5 if I was sane. I had a programmer, intake, exhaust, etc. The problem that truck had was headwind. If I was driving into ANY wind it would tank the economy.

My 5.9 was just a fluke. Empty I'd see 25-28 and depending on load anywhere from 8-18.

I think a F-450 would do just fine on hauling. Even though Ive never towed anything heavier then a car on a trailer on my 06 Sierra.
But if I had to tow or something, I think this would be my choice of truck.
