  • Got a big box of goodies today!

My order from MAST Motorsports....I must have a cool wife for letting me spread this shit all over the kitchen table. Their stuff isn't cheap but now I see why....this is a REALLY nice harness, and all it needs from the car is 3 wires connected...constant 12v, keyed 12v, and a ground. Integrated fuse box, fuel pump controller, fan controller, AC, etc. marine grade ECM too.

If you don't mind me asking... how much was the harness/ECM combo?

I've been looking at their crate engines and ECM setup for my 71.

          TIA
          .

How is the tuning support for that ECM? I love the GM weatherpack connectors...

            6.0 LS2 or 6.2 LS3?

Aaron's been keeping up. (I should probably start a build thread soon too)

Stang went back to the previous owner last month. I hated to see it go but was an offer I couldn't refuse.

I actually bought the entire M90 DBW L92 SS Package from them...it included the harness, ECM pre-loaded with a tune for my build (I'm using a build recipe from them), software to further tune on it/monitor through my laptop, DBW gas pedal assy, Bosch HEGO sensors, stage-2 camshaft, valve springs, etc. It was $1760 for all of it. Like I said...not cheap, but not terrible considering all that comes with it. So far I think well worth it...the harness alone is a really nice piece...but I'm also impressed with how much easier and cleaner this setup will make the install.

Tuning support is great...their software makes it pretty much wide open. It's sort of a hybrid between an LS2/LS3....the block is actually an 08' LY6 6.0, the heads are L92's that are now identical to the L99 (LS3) heads...change over to the LS3 lighter valves, but I'm also milling them .030 to bump the compression a little (recommendation from the MAST recipe). I'm running an LS3 intake, injectors, and DBW t-body, and the stage-2 MAST VVT camshaft as well. They are telling me with their tune I should expect around 500hp (flywheel) out of this combo. I hope they are right!

$1750 really doesn't sound bad to me. Don't get me wrong, it's a lot of coin, but for everything you got, it sounds descent.

If you got all that for $1750, then you got a hell of a deal!!

                    Sweet setup, man.

Actually $1759.99 is the price, but I failed to mention that I did have to pay tax (they are in TX) and shipping which together added almost $200....to my door was just under $2K.

Got some more parts today. BRP headers showed up....these look really nice, came with gaskets, bolts, ball & socket collectors/reducers, etc. Just no 02 bungs in them, but that will be remedied easy enough. I'm anxious to see how well they will fit.

Also got the manual shift tunnel hump for when I get to that cutting part

And finally located an F-body oil pan. I'm surprised how hard of a time I had finding one of these....every one that came up for sale was either already sold when I got to it, or they were wanting $300-$400. This one is good and clean from a local guy for $200.

I've got several things coming from TSP that should be here soon, and hopefully at that point will be able to start reassembling the engine. I've got some vacation time coming up and trying to have everything here by then, so that I can spend a full week or so putting it all together and getting it into the car.
