Are the 454SS truck's fast or turds?

yea i agree! i already have the 94' lightning. so it would be cool to have it's competition. too!

the 454ss just needs heads, cam, headers and it would make it a decent truck until you wanted to go faster with more go fast goodies

Nothing is cheap abouta big block, it's cause they make power. But on the other hand,I could have built a mountain motor BBC in what it cost me to build a lsx motor.

I had Edelbrock Performers and they worked just fine. 7.0's and drive it to the track. Not bad for a 4500 pound hay hauler.

Fixed. A lot of monte carlos, camaros, and firebirds end up in the bomber/street stock/hobby stock/hot stock classes

Good starting point. I'd put on some heads, and cam, and call it done.

compression is low as hell, have to use a small chamber head for sure..i believe comp was 8.5-1 if i remember right

Cool trucks, but the heads were shit. Had low compression too.
