that species of fish isn't actually native to that area. I've seen it on one of those nature shows. The fish jump out of the water in a defense-oriented way. so when something hits the water, or disturbs the water they all start jumping like crazy. there's actually annual competitions that are locally held to see who can catch the most fish without a fishing pole.

There an Asian Carp that were introduced here in the 70's in Waste Management areas to help with Algae growth. They escaped and are now investing waterways all over. They are extremely destructive and can push out all other fish species. Can you imagine water skiing or inner tubing through that?

Thats insane! The mullets in Galveston have noothing on those fish. Do they taste any good? Thats alot of fish swimming with concussions

carp actually tastes really good, there are just to many bones. I'm told you can just pressure cook them and voila
