It shifts great, so I may have gotten lucky! But I have and heard the auto is very strong from the factory. It's just I love rowing those gears. Oh and Clint I may stopby tomorrow after my work and just pick your brain!

Mine works fine. Slicks 780hp to the wheels dumping the clutch at 5 rpm stock clutch runs 6.80 in the 1/8.. No problems

You have 780hp to the wheels and only run 6.8x in the 1/8th? My previous 03 cobra with 630rwhp ran that.

              What clutch are you using?

I know some of the guys who have gone to aftermarket parts no longer experience the grinding issues.

Someone posted an article last week about a significant % of people having issues with the Getrag MT82 transmission. How much more would it have cost Ford to put in the TR6060 and been done with it? That transmission would have been a bulletproof combo with the 5.0. The MT82 is a POS by comparison.

I would not call the TR6060 bulletproof.

                  Why not just a T56?

When they fail to honor your warranty you can actually find reasonably priced rebuild parts.

I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that the MT82 is a stouter transmission than the TR6060. The 6060 may not be bulletproof, but it's a very strong transmission able to easily handle the Viper and ZR1 torque, so it should effectively be "bulletproof" for 99% of 5.0L owners.

You should be able to track it every weekend and not have to many problems. My buddy has a 08 GT500 he runs in Ennis all the time with street slicks and not once has that car had a tranny issue even with the KB on it and he is right around 800 RWHP. Why spend 30k on a performance car if you can not hot rod it every now and then. I agree with the first years stuff thats why I would not touch an echoboost truck this year.

I can't help but wonder why they developed another six speed instead of just using the T56 part. I guess maybe the gear ratios but I don't know. It sounds like a real piece of crap if you ask me. These cars are new and are having these problems, imagine what is going to be going on two years from now.

I wouldn't imagine that the tooling to make a different gearset for the T56 wouldn't that much in the grand scheme, but it boils down to money. I'm sure that the chinese tranny is a bit cheaper thant the T56, much less a re-geared T56.

Hey, Clint I was wondering about some good springs for the 11 GT and price of install I like the Steeda with lower control arms. But I would like any advice. Cause I only have had the pro kits form Eibach in the past.
