There's really no way to fight it. The cop I'm sure knows it which is why I believe he's fucking with him with that kind of answer which is funny all in itself. I've done the same "what about him" routine years ago and the cop asked me if I'd ever been hunting. I told him yes, and he then says "then you know what it's like to get a good kill." as he walks off.
