My dad and I went and looked at a jet ski for my mom for her birthday. Its a 1995 sea doo bombardier spx. I made sure to tell the guy I wanted the engine cold. We get there and it fired right up without the choke and ran fine. I did a compression test and it showed 150 on both cylinders, but I don't know what they should be. I have tried looking it up on the web,but I'm not getting anything. I am just trying to get an idea of how tired that top end is. Any help would be much appreciated

I had to go look up the exact model but I got a friend with a 99 zxi 1100. It was wrecked with like 13 hours when he bought it. He had the fiberglass work and paint done then I got it from him. I had kawasaki put it back together right, then he bought it back from me. It just sits now and has been rode just a handful of times. Low hours if your interested I will ask what he wants for it.Whos your Daddy?

is the 1100 a 3 cyl? *thinking evil thoughts*
Kris, 150 in each hole sounds good. make sure and hold the throttle WOT when using the gauge, or it'll skew the reading.
I wouldn't pay more than ~1200 for the spx.. maybe ~1500 fro the zxi.
What do you want the ski for? racing? cruising? hauling a tube? give us some more details.
