Bike sale out of state-how to handle

Best way to handle out of state sale on bike? How to get funds, exchange of title...etc.

Buyer is arranging the shipper and paying for that and we have negotiated a price on sale. Just not sure on safest way to exchange funds to protect myself.... Paypal,Venmo.. wire transfer

I would assume after funds are secure I would mail title.

Why not ask the buyer how he plans on getting the money to you?
Either way I'd have him go with Perez Transport, best in the business!

Yes he wanted to do Paypal which I don't believe protects me in anyway.

Agreed - it may have changed but I still use paypal when suspicious of seller. Most people I buy from do not know that paypal tends to favor the buyer for whatever reason and agree. Reason I am not 100% certain of paypals current ways is that all transactions have ended up smooth so never had to contest anything in the last few years.
