YZ450F vs. CRF450R or WR450F vs CRF450X

Depending on what year your bike is you can change the cam timing on your WR to YZ specs also.

Mine is an 07. But I think it has plenty for now. It is a wheel standing monster as it is.

I went with a 250f (210lbs at the time) and it was great in xc. Honestly, I would have hated a 450 unless I was getting into wide open terrain. Everything I rode down here was in sync with a 250f. Don't think of it in terms of a 125 compared to a 250 2 stroke because it isn't a valid comparison. The power on a 250f is very broad and feels bigger than it is.

a new honda and yamaha 450 is skinny like a 250f almost. they are nimble too. speaking of the "r" models. no experience with "x" models.

the valves in the new crf450r are not an issue if you keep up with maintenance.

the real question is, do you want to kick it or do you want to push a button?
