fuel pressure reg. on my bike, a faulty fpr will leak unmetered fuel through the vacuum line into the throttle bodies/cylinders.

pull the vacuum line and prime the pump, if it dribbles/spits fuel out of the line, its the fpr. could still be faulty even if it doesnt. theyre cheap enough anyways.

symptoms: hard starts, raw fuel smell, poor idle, etc..

Ok update. Buddy at work plugged her into the motor jockey ' bike trickle charger. He had tried to start it at 10ish am. No go. Fuel pump primes and the starter kicks off and off and off. No start. Did I blow a fuse???

She's currently is stored in the motor shed with the harley police bikes... I can't let my superior Nomad be shunned by the likes of electra glides and road kings!

Got to work and took it off the trickle charger. The cluster lights up and the pump primes. Hit starter and it just clicks once and the cluster goes black. Odd... I swore I could hear that click coming from the battery. Will try a new battery and see if that works.

Replaced battery with a durlast gold (glass absorbed matting or some crap vs acid) and it bumped right off. Guess my old decrepid battery was at wits end.
