Was working on the gmc when I tthought I should start the nomad up for shits. Omg it took several seconds (plus another ignition key fuel prime) before she fired off. Run fine afterwards. That sign of a new fuel pump?

My r6 is the same way. If I left the fuel pump run its cycle and then cranking it, it takes along cycle to start. After the initial start it starts right up with out hesitation. So the other day I didn't give the fuel pump a chance to prime and it fired right up. Doesnt make alot of sense to me.

It sounds like you figured it out, but if it comes up again I have a good fuel pump off of an 04 Kaw meanstreak 1600. Im not sure if it s ithe same pump or not but you are more than welcome to it. I thought I had a bad pump but it turned out to be just a broken wire. So i spent almost $600 on a fuel pump I didnt need. I kept the old one but have since sold the bike and now have good pump I have no use for. I am prety far from highland villiage but gas to come out here is still a hell of a lot cheaper than a new fuel pump
