not saying any of them are bad guys. it just seems; unsafe, like some sportbike riders, but in a different way. lol.

I have never understood why they have not put speed limit on car/bike maker. why have speed limits on street but car/bike have speed limits over 100 mph.

i'm sure it will eventually come to that. when insurance can lobby enough to make it happen, like mandatory wearing of seatbelts.

the main reason that i can see as to why they haven't already set a speed limit for the manufacturer is because it is one of the favorite American past times to "go fast" and a symbol of freedom if you will, due in part to the modification/ tuning of cars during the prohibition era.

And even if the manufacturers had set governors on cars, how long do you think it would last before people figured out how to hack/ mod their way around it?

The guy ends up crashing around the High Five and dieing I guess( officers were requesting forensics). Why risk the chance of dying for just a thrill?
Because Harley's, or other cruisers, are inherently less dangerous, right? The bikes behave however the asshole twisting the throttle want them too. Regardless of make/model/style. I've known more people to crash Harley's than anything else.

Just because a handful of sport bike riders do something doesn't mean they all do.

They started adding speed limiting into the ECU software around 03 or 04 I believe. The Zx12's and Hayabusa's were speed limited to 186, they won't even run 187 mph anymore.

If they limited my 750 to 100mph, anything above 2nd gear would be useless other than cruising I guess. It runs 116 in 2nd on the rev limiter.

One of the reasons I did sprockets on mine. I couldn't wrap out first gear without greatly exceeding the speed limit lol

which is my point. people mod cars and drive them on the street regardless of the law. how many people on this board drive cars with out cats that are tagged and inspected? a lot. so making a governed car wouldn't change anything.

                      no shit.

we are talking about if it was a law where every vehicle had made had to be governed below 100mph. if it was government mandated it would probably be a lot harder, but there is always a way around it weather it be machining a new part or writing some code.

i think lincolnboy might just be saying dumb shit to fuck with me, but its ok. i'm working a 17hr shift so it keeps me entertained.

whats meant by it , making a harsh law on speed, no selling of speed products. i know it sounds stupid. for everything in this world there will always be someone disliking it. right. dont mind me.

i see more loud cruiser twins riding fast lately than sport bikes.

cruisers are everywhere. like gixxers and r6's in the 2000's.

hell i even see more scooters now.

people are going to do what they want. period.
