Well then back to what I originally said. You still get a discount on your insurance.

haha. one time i was in a skid heading towards the back end of a car at a stoplight. first time to encounter this situation. the rear of bike was swinging out to the right and was going to clip the car. i let off the brake and the rear caught grip and jumped back to the left and actually saved me from a collision.

I had something similar happen to me. Some woman in a car cut me off doing 70mph on 820 ( tire blow out ) she panicked and stood on the brakes. I went from 70 - 0 sliding with both brakes full on . I stopped with my rear tire at about the 3:30 to 4 '0 clock position.

There was so much suction that it took the police 45 minutes to pry my puckered ass off the seat.

I did this yesterday on my four wheeler. Went in too hot at about 65-70mph, braked and threw the rear out, saw the impending impact with the cedar tree coming up, left off brake and throttled up a tad. I missed the trunk by a hair. I still went thru the rest of that Christmas tree shaped fucker but it did not hurt near as bad as a dead on side hit would have. Good Times! This is why I always throw on my gear even if I am just screwing around. Arm looks like someone sanded it down a tad in places but no real injury.

You guys are brave/insane. There is no way I would ride a bike in DFW. Too many texting/facebooking/0h l00k k1tties! retards out there.

I wont even get my 66' out on highways because I have been rear ended soo many times in the past 4 years.

I love the HD V-Rod, would love to buy one...but I like life more.

You have to be careful and prepared for what the bike is gonna do when you release the brake in that situation. The jumping back motion that happens is abrupt and it can throw you into a crash with a quickness if you aren't prepared for it.

ditto thats what i keep thinking - high side is gonna happen then

high side is generally less desirable than low siding... u know if you just must wreck

with out a doubt. however, letting of your brake in a skid isnt really that violent at all if youre half way competent on a bike. this was just last week during the warm-up lap. brutal
