Only rode it 2k miles in a year. The 820 construction made riding super dangerous.

A naked would be perfect for commuting. Much more comfortable. A street triple might be more up your alley. The 675cc 3 cylinder sounds amazing, but the 1050cc is better for all around riding I think. The 1050 sounds a bit deeper than the 675 video below. I cant find a good one for the 1050.

ok, out of the big four I4 supersports, i'd prefer the 2009+ zx6r with the 2009+ r6 close second, then the 2008+ 600rr and gsxr lastly. for a I3 you have Daytona 675 (prob my favorite)

all the japs are relatively the same. youll have to just test ride each one and see what you like. I can tell you the Honda is probably the comfiest with kawi coming next. Honda will have better low mid range than the other japs, better for commuting.

all these bike are pretty low maintenance and parts are widely available with plenty of dealer/mechanical support locally.

I just can't get past that cyclops headlight ... a little too futuristic for me.

Thank you for these suggestions. I set on a few zx6rs yesterday and liked the feel. I can't seem to locate a Daytona 675 in this area to go and check out. I'd love to go the Triumph route as I've already owned one ad really liked everything about it.

Eurosport in Ft. Worth should have them, so should RPM cycles. I liked the family atmosphere of Eurosport though.

Edit: They have a red 2013 in stock.

The street triple may change my preferences. I have to go find one and give it a go to see. Thanks for the information.

Nah, I dealt with the old lady when I bought my speedy. Paid cash and was in and out in about 15 minutes.

(tracked down a pic of my 08 just before I sold her.)

weak. get back on two man, and maybe avoid the shit roads??

ive been enjoying the little jaunt on fm157 between 67 and 287 lately. its a short run, but it's got a few decent turns, just have to watch out for gravel. only like two switch backs though, but it's close to me.

                                you know you miss it.
