Heated one's might, but not wanting to spend that money just to ride on cold days.
That is the only way I can do cold mornings is with heated gloves. Makes a world of difference. I have a mesh jacket and only wear the liner along with a light jacket, windbreaker-type pants over the jeans, boots, heated gloves and balaclava under the helmet and it's a cake walk. Contemplating a heated suit. It's a must for me to ride due to having HOV lane which subtracts close to 30min off the commute. There are parts around the base of the neck and upper chest that get cold, but they numb up quickly so it's all good.
Do it if you want but riding in the cold sucks. I was living in Maine when I got divorced and due to funds being low, I ended up having to ride year round one year. It would have been no biggie if I worked local but I didn't, I worked in Massachusetts. 87.5 miles each way. As long as the roads were dry, I rode. Good gloves, balaclava, and layers of clothes are the only way to get through it. I stick to riding on nice, warm, sunny days now.

I think 35, maybe 30, is the coldest I've ridden. Mask under the helmet, covering the neck, 2 layers of gloves, sweatshirt under the jacket, thermal pants under my pants, and a hot shower before leaving the house and it's bearable.
Props too ya. I don't ride when its below 65 anymore. Just jump in the warm cage and go to work. I must be getting old. Lol. And when I did... I think 35 was about my limit and my record.
I've ridden a few times in the mid 30's to 40's at night on the way from work at night wearing slacks. Fucking sucked that I would get in a rush and forget to prepare and it was a 33 mile one way ride home. I had to stop a few times to warm up. Still miss it though I remember when I sold my bike I rode one way maybe 50 miles or so in the cold and rain and was thoroughly soaked. Still miss it though.
I remember riding to Longview from Weatherford once in sub 20 degree weather and sleet from Dallas almost all the way to Longview. Easily my most miserable sport bike memory. Lol. I was shivering so hard I thought I was going to shake myself off the bike. In retrospect I'm amazed I didn't get hypothermia.
Bad ass, dude!! My record is 31, but it was a relatively short ride. 2 hours from Dallas in the low 40's made me realize that I was ill prepared to ride my Superhawk. I wished for heated gloves and a couple more layers.
