Used dirt bike parts? Looking for a stock rear spring

Anyone know of a place that would be good to call to try to find a stock CR 250 rear spring.

Mine is a 2003. I believe they are the same from 02-04

Thanks for the responses, I was more looking for a used one/take off. I want to see if I like it before I buy from racetech.

I bought this bike as a used and abused race bike and it has way too much spring on the back of it, I have gotten it back it tip top shape, but damn it's harsh.

From what I understand, the stock spring is set up for my weight. So a used one should be just what I need.

I know there is someone somewhere with one in their garage or a shop that has some in the corner. But I don't know where to start.

Know of a local dirt bike forum that I could check the classifieds?

i would assume you could use other 250 springs of the like.

a. No man, I don't.
b. I was thinking the same thing, I did find one from a 98. Haven't yet found a place that shows applicable year ranges by product, but I haven't been able to spend much time looking either, i'm at work.

Have you set the sag? if the sag is not set correctly it will make the spring seem stiff. Once that is set then you can adjust the rebound and compression to help smooth out the ride. Where is the compression set at?

Sag is set, compression and rebound surely do need some work. It has an aftermarket rear spring that I don't know anything about except for it is much stiffer than stock, my riding buddy has the same bike with a stock spring and I would like to start off with that spring. If I recall correctly the compression and rebound are centered.

If you have the race sag set, and the static sag is under spec, then you need a stiffer spring, if static sag is over spec then you need a softer spring.

Go here and click on "calculate spring rates and display available springs" under the rear shock section and it will ask your weight and what type of riding to give you the correct rate:
