  • Any idea of value of modified Kawasaki Mojave?

Hey guys, a local thrift store had a Kawasaki Mojave four wheeler for sale today. The owner said that the previous owner was using it for drag racing. I bought it on impulse as something to screw around with, then sell. Got it home and found out that it no longer has the original 250cc engine, but it has a kawasaki KZ 750cc bike engine in it. To say this thing is a demon is an understatement, I bet it would beat my Cobra to 60mph. Now, since it's been modified, I have absolutely NO clue as to it's value. Any ideas?

A friend of mine had a quadracer with a 650cc streetbike engine in it, and it was crazy. It didnt matter if you were giving it throttle or not, it would pull the front end up when you wen to 4th.

This thing isn't that extreme, but anything over 1/2 throttle will pull the front end, regardless of gear. I don't scare easily, but this thing scares the crap outta me.

It'll vary dramatically based on the craftmanship.

I would call the craftsmanship weekend warrior level. Functional, but FAR from perfect. The exhaust is just dumped out from under the fender, the welds are strong, but not the prettiest, the gas tank is mounted in front of the handle bars, etc. As far as functionality goes, it's ready to ride. I gave $700 for it, so as long as I can get that back out and a little bit of folding money, I am good.

Just took it for a spin around the neighborhood. Waited for a car to pass, then got up on the road behind it. Speed limit is 55MPH and I easily caught up and was cruising with him. Rode it a little over 4 miles at a good speed with no issues at all.

I'm chuckling at the fact that you didn't notice the motorcycle engine until you got it home.

However, get some more pics. I don't imagine you'll get much more than what you've got in it, but I'm curious as fuck about it. Looks sketchy and I like sketchy.

It was inside of a thrift shop and I haven't been around 4 wheelers in years. I have it up in the for sale section right now with better pics. Don't get shell shocked on my price, I just put that there as a starting point. It's really not sketchy, I don't feel like I am in danger when riding it. It rides exactly like a stock quad would, except fast as fuck.

Well, I have it up for $1000 in the for sale section. Seem like a fair price on it?

                        That's a better starting point.

And to give you an idea on what this thing can do. Light on the throttle is like a stock quad, full throttle is a hang on for dear life moment. My property is 3 acres... Oh and it pulls like this in every gear.

Lol, it's open pipes right now. A muffler would help things out a LOT.
