why not just get a street cruiser, v-rod look nice if done right, hell yamaha has a bike to kinda looks like a v-rod. now if you wanna get more custom, check out some of the pro street cruisers.

If you like the idea of a sportbike and not a thug type crowd, look around on http://www.fwmr.net
They do track days, mild country road rides (gear is mandatory, ride leaders must do X amount of track days and be voted in), and bike night. They are an older crowd than the typical early 20s group, and focus on fun and safety. I've been on a couple country rides with them and do a bike night and they are all really nice people.
