  • few dirt bike questions

    ok i have a 2004 honda cr125r i picked up i lost compression on the first ride..
    so i pulled the piston and the jug the piston is bad missing a good little peace
    but then i noticed that theres a very small crack in the jugs wall

    Were can i find these parts or should i just consider it trash

    98sohc281 w/an 03 motor swap with hitech stage 2 cams,jlt intake,c and l upper, longtube headers,o/r x-pipe with No cats dumped ,4:10 gears and a 3k stall w/a lil spray

      It's basically a basket case, without going with a new engine - I think 04 would have a sleeved motor, which get pretty spendy. In running shape, you have ~$1000 bike (125's aren't exactly popular).

          Thanks didnt know i had this option i found a sleeve for it 70 bucks and 120 on the piston kit.. thanks for the help guys

            sleeve it would be the cheapest option if its an actual crack. If its just a surface scratch you can have it honed for about $20

              no its a though crack on the exhaust side therestwo holes and a bar in the center that bar has a clear though and though crack can see it in pic

                I'm sure that can be repaired. It has to be pretty extensive damage for it to not be repairable. If you feel like spending a little money now is a good time for a big bore:
