  • local michelin sales?

I need a pilot road 3 in 120/70/17 and need it installed/balanced on the wheel. Who is my best bet?

Doubtful you will find someone with it in stock. You are going to have to find someone willing to order the tire in. Check with A&R Motorsports, they are willing to order tires in and have reasonable prices.

I'd call bates, they have a decent stock in there. They only do it with the wheel off though.

Unless you ride or plan to ride a lot in wet weather why spend a significantly higher amount on the Road 3 when the Road 2 is essentially the same tire without the siping? I've ridden on all kinds of tires in the city, twisty mountain roads, in the rain, in the cold of winter, and in the blast furnace heat of Texas summers and honestly...out of all the tires I've ridden on...I'll take the Pilot Road 2's over all the previous tires I've used. They are the best tires I've ever ridden on...and with 80k+ miles on my Blackbird I'd say I've ridden on a few brands.

They seem to last too. My buddy had a R2 on his bike and it didn't flatten out in the 5k or so miles he put on it.

My pilot powers and Q2s would seem to flatten out rather quick...

edit: I guess doing this kind of stuff didn't help...
