DJ You're right, but i dont like the idea of that thing folding in and crunching my dome open... though i'm sure plenty of rzrs have had similar fate. there's a wildcat just up the road, they want like 17k for it but it's one badass machine. too rich for my blood for a toy tho.

MG289 - we ride dunes and a lot of logging roads, back field, not really much designated 50" trails. also the 800 is like 48hp and the 900 is 88hp.. i'll take the +40 and a few inches of width.

CamStang - thanks for the heads up.. that chain sounds like it could be a PITA. Is it a standard MC style chain, perhaps i could get one with more tensile strength and/or just know not to try and pull someone out of a hole in R.

Thanks for all the input yall

Im really not into them, but If I had one, Id drop a grand or two on a real cage that will take an impact of rolling over.

X2. The Polaris can not compete with that Maverick.

If you want to see these things in action come watch the Torn Race this weekend.

I fully agree with your reasoning!

The stock chain on the left. Turner replacement on right but I think it's around $1700. All considered I'd love to have a XP but I like my 50" for the woods and tight trails I ride.

Damn, thanks for the heads up! Do all of these sxs use a reverse setup similar to that?

                  I think it's just the Polaris 900 XP's. My 800 does'nt.

                    Interesting.

I'm kind of at a crossroads here, i still have my buggy.. with the money i got from selling a dirtbike i feel like i could easily convert it to EFI and throw some wilwood brakes on it.. or i could just toss it up on CL for 3k and use that plus the dirtbike money as a down on something newer and more reliable. still torn, although the lust for something new and badass still hasn't worn off much.
