Not sure, but the radiator over flow gushes coolant while riding it. Replaced radiator cap, still does it. Head gqasket??

        Is there oil contamination?

Just curious, how much did you pay?

Is there any coolant seeping out the weep hole under the water pump housing. If there is the water pump is bad.

I owned a 06 rmz250 (same bike) and it was one of my all time favorite rides to date.

what else is wrong with it?

I will check it thanks. would that cause it to go out the overflow hose under acceleration?

Yes just as in a car if the water pump goes out it can cause overheating or you have junk in the radiator or lines and it's causing it to clog or back up

Visually, should you be able to see the coolant flowing in the radiator? Any other ways to confirm if the water pump is working correctly? TIA

You can take the cap off the radiator when the bike is cold and look in it and see if the fluid is circulating especially when reving it up. but the only way to be sure is to take the water pump cover off and with the kill switch pushed down kick it over and if the water pump spins its working. I know a lot of manufactures used plastic ones and a lot of reviews show once they put in an aftermarket impeller ( boyseen or pro circuit) everything was fine.

Tried lookin, but it was hard to tell with the vibration. When cold it seems like i can ride it for a minute or two before it starts gushin out the over flow. I will pull the cover on the pump. Thanks for your help

No problem, post up the outcome have you drained the radiator yet? Many just put the water hose in the radiator and that's a big no no. 50/50 with distilled water.

Well , its been pretty much draining itself lately. But i have been using tap water an antifreeze till I figure out what is going on.

Stop that could have been what caused the issues. Auto coolants contain silicates which WILL damage the smaller seals and water pumps generally associated with bikes. There are many bike specific coolants but the one I prefer that offers anti freeze protection is Honda's HP coolant in a blue bottle.
