I just put one of these on my new bike last night to help get peoples attention. That almost happened to me in Arlington about 10 years ago, dumbass behind me wasnt paying attention.

This thing has all kinds of different flash patterns and one that would surely send any epileptic into a seizure. Still wont help if the person isnt even looking at the road but it was worth the money for me.

This Brake Light Flasher is a Universal 10 pattern brake light modulator for motorcycles, increases safety and visibility of existing tail lights by flashing the brake light automatically according to the pattern you select.

Guy is pretty lucky he walked away.
Same here, especially late on Friday and Saturday nights. I also would tap my brake lever to make my rear lights flash and on off for extra saftey.

Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

Would not ride w/out something like this. I have one that blinks five times and goes to solid.

                Ouch!

Kid I ever to highschool with got nailed like that by an 18wheeler at a red light on the service rd... He got away with just back and a leg issue . He finally got a hefty payout from what I heard last.

They make a tail light bulb that strobes and goes into different patterns. I think I paid 15 cents on ebay

Has happened to me as well, if you ride on the street in traffic like that for several years it will most likely happen to you.

My tail light is a non servicable LED tail light so it wouldnt work. Thats deffinetly a cheaper method though.

i do the same, i personally dont like the flasher kits/lights/bulbs

instead of trying to get them to see you i just expect every person on the road to not see me and ride accordingly

So you flicker your brake lights but dont like boxes that flicker them for you, why not?

As far as riding defensivley, thats a must for anyone on a bike IMO. I about had a lady come into me this morning on the way to work and I was driving in my damn suburban!
