Nice!! It was either this bike, a 2011 R1, or the 08 Duc 1098. I opted for the last one mentioned.

Looks good man. I had a 08, tons of mods on it... put it back to stock and then sold it. I now have an 04 10R as well as an 03 636 that I am turning into a track bike.

Join www.zx-10R.net when you get time, I have the same username over there.

Jelly. I like Ducatis, other than maintenance nightmares I've heard of. I can afford the bike, just not the divorce that would come after purchase. Damnit!

Elitist rider mode - You shouldn't be supporting your upper body weight with your wrists anyways. You're supposed to use your core as resting your upper body weight on your wrists A)hurts as you know B) transmits unintended inputs into the steering.

Wait so you're saying I should use my legs to steer? And that even though I look tough with my arms locked straight I'm doing it wrong??? damn. I thought they taught me right at bike night.

You are right on that!!! I do my own oil changes and most of the maintenance since an oil change cost $164!!!!Just the Motul jug, oil filter and washer cost me $90!!!!! The 7500 mile service cost about $900..But, on the bright side, compared to my 06 cbr 1000rr, it is a blast to ride with the L Twin motor. I love other literbikes as well, but my 1098 is different.

No shit, I've been riding sport bikes for 20 years, I've had several, including other liter bikes. The 10R was the least comfortable of any I owned. But thanks for being a smart ass know-it-all anyway.

it's all personal preference.. i actually thought my zx10r was very comfortable as well.. and with the front end in the air there's not much pressure on your wrists.

call Don Guhl at 717 618 4212, those things start to close the secondary throttle up top, he can do a simple reflash that finds something like 20hp at the top....
