Yeah, I'm not a poser, I've been on air cooled in August. Fuck that, I ride for pleasure, not pain.

I ride everyday so I know the pain of 105 on an air cooled motor but so far this little harley has taken it all in stride. I will admit that the race fueler lets me run a little on the rich side if i let it and it seems to keep the temp just a little lower not lower as in I feel it but a little lower on the engine temp.

On a serious note, it looks like the 2013 V-rod has gotten a little more angular, was it this bike?

buy an Iron and have HD dealer do a 1200 motor conversion and it be cheaper than buying a NEW Nightster (less than $10K)? I hope that post was made while smoking crack.

It is cheaper the nightster cost 2000 dollars more then an iron and the dealer can do a 1200 conversion for less then that. If you wanna get crazy yes it will coat more but just pistons and jugs it's cheaper and looks better in black then the grey. If it is done with in so many days or at the time the bike is sold it is covered under the factory warranty.

FYI: HD has demo days (sat/sun) every year around this time. Might want to check it and test ride a bunch of bikes before you buy. Bikes I would buy are the 48 and the dyna wide glide. Both are comfortable and look good.

Yep. The demo days are gonna be Sept 21/22 at Longhorn HD in Grand Prairie. 9/22 is also another of their block parties with free beer and lots of stuff going on. Do the demo ride before you get a beer, since they'll mark your hand showing you've had something to drink.

LH will pretty much let you take any of thier bikes out with just a signature on a waiver, assuming you already know how to ride.

I went to a demo day in Chandler, AZ. I went both days and it was a blast. They had free food, free red bull, music playing, and a bikini bike wash.

The test ride route was 5 or so miles long with some freeway included. I got to ride every bike and never thought I would enjoy it as much as I did (coming from a sportbike). I enjoyed getting on the bike the most without throwing on all of the gear I used to wear when riding my 750 (full face helmet, gloves, riding boots, and riding jacket). Here I was just throwing on my sunglasses and brain-bucket helmet and off I went.

Bikes are a little expensive for what you get, IMO. We went to a motorsports dealership afterwards and looked at the foreign crusiers for price comparison. You get can an equivalent model or even a better bike for less money. However, they sound nothing like a HD.

Make sure you ride this one. The bike is agile, comfortable, and has forward controls. Bikes that had mid controls were not as comfortable, IMO.
