  • Thoughts on Modern Cafe Racer

I saw this bike months ago and its been stuck in my mind ever since. Seems like it would be very cheap and simple to build. I'm basically on the verge of picking up a project bike to start on and just curious what most people's thoughts are on it.

just looks like a chopped up streetfighter...the exhaust is shit, and it looks gay without a tail, imo

check out customfighters.com if youre into that look

That's where these pics came from. It is just a chopped and slammed ZX6R but I really like the look. I also would like to do the exhaust differently.

Rear end needs to be finished off. I dig the look, but he should have run the light as a frame cap behind the seat.

That's another idea I had. Fab a tail light that mounts flush at the back of the seat to round off the look.

Can build this bike for under $2k. Speed triple is cool, but I don't wanna spend that kind of money just to slam the bike and essentially turn it into a fast bike to cruise on.

99-02 ZX6R. All you have to do is find one that's rashed or beat up(got a line on one for under $1500). I've got the hookup on paint work which is the only other real cost.
