Yup and it's still a good bike. But the new engine kinda lost some of the appeal of the bike to me when they dropped the air/oil cooled GSXR motor. Those things were bullet proof and the aftermarket was pretty strong with it too.

this bike has seen it all, wheelies, track-days, moderate distance, etc...im about ready to get off after 150 miles though. it needs a nice seat.

I had a 2000 model which was the year before the bug eyes models and it was probably the best bike I've ever owned. Don't let the fact that a bike has carbs steer ya away they run just fine.
Just don't let them sit for months on end with fuel in the float bowls.

Its enough I can scrape together the funds and buy it now, and sit on the Star sale until I get a good offer. Its not my first choice, but after reading reviews of the 600, Ill live with the ugly front for less money, and if it is a bike I love, ill sell it after ive sold the star and buy a newer model.

Picked it up last night. 2000 bandit 1200s, 33k miles. It's not perfect, but I only gave $1650 for it. Only thing I can see mechanically wrong is the chain is loose. I've only ridden it an hour or so, but I think i'm going to be happy with it."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford
