So my '06 R6 has been sitting a week, go out to start it and it wont fire without giving it gas, and it won't idle until I've held the throttle and kept the RPM's up for awhile. If I let off the throttle too early it just dies. If I hold it there awhile, maybe until it warms up, it idles and rides fine until I kill it, then the problem persists. I show 12 volts at the battery and 14 when its running, is this a sign of a bad battery? Or is this fuel/throttle related?

run a fresh tank of gas through it with a bit of seafoam and then see where youre at
It's just odd that it won't idle at first, then it seems to clear up. No dying on me while riding, just on initial startup.

It will tell you how much it takes to treat the amount of gas you have in the tank or just drain the tank and put fresh gas in it but it sounds like some trash either in the line, filter, or injectors

This bike is notorious for this problem. Mine does the exact same damn thing and after hours on forums I can't pinpoint what is exactly wrong. If it's under warranty that may be your best bet. If you do find out what it is please post up. I ran sea foam and it does not help. Changed plugs etc etc.
