  • Stolen F4I alert!

Stolen from a friend's house on Saturday from the Denison area (I'm aware its either in pieces or probably doesn't look like this anymore). Anyway, owner is veteran, currently on some hard times, couldn't afford more than liability coverage on it.

If you see or hear anything, feel free to call or text me (texting works better)
    808-457-8815.

And please, if you do find anything, don't approach the seller/person in possession of.

That bike has no doubt been doing circle wheelies somewhere ever since it was lifted.

I seem to recall a liability + theft option, that came in quite a bit less than full-coverage, something to think about.

If it were an '03-'05 636, possibly. The F4i's are too cheap these days to bother with stealing them. As clean as that bike is (was), it's a $2,500 piece, at best.

Probably just an amatuer/opportunist thief that didn't care what he was stealing.

I wish you still lived in TX Skippy...there's a TL-R in the Classifieds section with your name all over it. I just wish it were blue/white, cause it'd be a prime SF candidate.

Yea, all my bikes have had liability + theft at the bare minimum. Its a little too late for this guy though.

Oh really, I had fancied the F4i about the time I picked up animal, in retrospect I think the F4i would have served me much better! Still, hard to argue w/ the 954 front brakes!

TL-R you say... I suppose I could be persuaded to get another thumper, I wonder it compares to my old RC-51?

I have never thrwon a leg over the Honda but I have had one TLR for a couple of years and rode a few of the TL's. I will own another someday, I just love the way they sound and ride. They are a bit more aggressive on the riding position then some of the other big bikes but not real bad. The only other issue I can think of is when it gets hot out they put out some major heat around your inner knee/thigh area but not terrible. Valve adjustments every 12k or so and keeping the carbs in sync were the only two real maint things you had to deal with. My 954 was like riding a twitchy dirtbike after coming off the TLR. LOL
              Whos your Daddy?

Thx for the feedback, I didn't realize those were not EFI bikes, is that the case for all years TLR? No big, and I recall some serious summer heat in the crotch area from my old RC-51, not super bad though.

rc were nut burners cause the radiators are side mounted, there were front mount conversions but they cost quite a bit. i miss my rc

LOL Fail on my part, yes the throttle boddies needed a good sync when you did the valves sometimes. The TLS was the tank slapper as everone called it. No steering stabilizer on the front and the head angle I think gave them some head shake issues.
