RIP...... Watched the videos and man that's crazy. I follow MotoGP like crazy and it sucks to see him pass. He was a damn good rider.

A helmet rolling is never a good thing.. Crazy that as "safe" as tracks are these days, with run-off areas, safety barriers and what not, that fatalities can still occur.

Not that there was anything that they could do, but Rossi and Edwards have to feel horrible.

I'm interested to see what they figure out with the helmet deal. It certainly doesn't make AGV look good at the moment.

I agree that everything can fail. One report I read said the strap was ripped out of the helmet. I'm guessing that a wheel or something got in there.

The way that collision occurred, he died instantly from the impact. There's no way his neck could absorb or his helmeted-head could support that kind of blunt trauma.
