I have bought and sold a ton of dirtbikes/atv's without titles at first I was kinda weary but now it doesn't even bother me one bit. for a titled bike I would give an extra $100
I would say $2k for a nice stock one with moderate hours. I might go $2500 if really nice, all tricked out, older rider who doesn't ride often, valves in spec, etc.
I think you can call the dmv with the VIN and check to see if it has been reported stolen if you're worried about that. Not having a title can be a bit of a bargaining chip for you if he's willing to negotiate.

always bought my sons bikes in okla, no sales tax, no title....never a problem reselling it......i bought and sold 3 bikes a year for 10+ years, never with a title, sold many to out of state buyers that i just shipped directly to
Always had titles on mine. At least an M.S.O. Someone is probably riding my stolen CRF450 that said "I don't need a title". Atleast do a VIN check with the dealer. Mine is listed as stolen on the Honda network.
