  • Looking at an 08 cbr 1000rr input please.

Anyone familiar with the bike? Pros cons? Its a black and silver with 4200 miles for $7500. Im gonna try for 7 even. I have heard it is a smooth bike with a great power band. Trying to find someone who has had one or knows someone who can clue me in a little more. BTW this is my first bike in 9 years. Had a GSXR600 before for 2 months before I had to sell. That was the only time I have had on a bike. Im 6'3 and 270 lbs btw. Dont think a 600 would be as fun.

i use to have a 07 CBR 600RR and that was a great bike so im going to say that a 1000RR would be about the same just more power.

a black 06 1000rr would be my choice if i had to go honda....i like the 08 bikes but they are again underpowered compared to the rest of the class. some of the 08 bikes have had oil burning issues too.

it should be a good all around bike..i like the front fairing a lot more than i did when it first came on the scene.

The difference between all the jap 4 liters in 08 at peak is 3-4hp at the wheel. Bike will be so underutilized by a newb that it doesn't matter. They're all basically the same performance wise. I'm a Honda guy, but the 1KRR is the worst looking of the bunch. I would probably get the R1 despite having the least power of the four.

            Euro>Jap now

OEM fender looks like a turd coming from the tailsection, but that's easily fixable.

347 Mike, theres a KTM dealer in Decatur but I believe it requires a $1000 deposit before they will even order it and as far as the Honda goes, that's probably the one bike i'd trade my R1 for. I love the redesign that year. My R1 has a ton of shit done to it and I might would trade for an untouched CBR1000

The RC8 is sweet, BMW is nice and I'd take either one over a Ducati anyday.

Yeah, screw that for a bike. I like it but not 17k much.

The new bikes are getting very "polygon-ish". I like it.
