Question about pants

I'm interested in picking up a 2 pc. suit. The company says they'll let you choose your size (usually sold as a set L, XL, ect.) I know my jacket is a 2XL or a 48 but I'm not sure on the pants. I wear a size 34 jeans. Does anybody know the usual conversion on the pants or are they the same size? The pants the company put with the 2XL is a 38 I believe.
