  • Drifting, stepping it up.

Apex's ICON video was good, but that was a stretched/slammed bike. Don't want to take anything away from the guy, but that makes it a lot easier.

675 and the tail section/number plate combo MAKE the bike to me. Looks almost like a flat-tracker.

With some spokes this would be a KILLER look. Maybe build something like this next year???

Looks like stock length, lowered in the rear, and more angle to his drifts.

Definitely sick. And I agree with you about Apex's "ringer" bike. But he was going a lot faster. This guy's stuff looked like mostly all 1st, and maybe a little second gear. Apex was in 3rd and 4th I believe. Both very impressive.

There are some guys getting really, really good in the lots. It'd be fun to see them on a kart track.

I dunno why nick was on that bike in the video, it's the ONLY time i've ever seen him riding something like that. fwiw i've spent countless hours watching him drift his stock-ish 03/04's all over the lot back in Vegas.

I forget homedudes name but it starts with a J..he used to ride a kawi green 05/06..does sick 1 handed drifting and shit. I have been out of the stunt scene for a while though, and forget a lot.

I did that the other day. It was on accident of course but I still did it.

I thought bikes were bought for traction, and speed.

I feel the same about cars though, build it to go fast, not to swing the ass.

Drifting is cool, car or bike, and takes skill. It takes skill, that goes against what both were intended for though.

If you're drifting, you're burning speed and momentum.

Mine have been for fun/entertainment. Less than 1% of my time on a bike in the last 12 years has been on a race track.

If money was no object I would have several different bikes for multiple purposes. Road racing, drag racing, top-speed racing, trials, super-moto, motocross, long range cruising, local road going sportbike, chopper, flat-tracker, stunt bike, euro-street fighter, cafe racer, Italian baller machine, and probably a few other I'm forgetting.

I just like being on two wheels and there are many ways for me to get enjoyment out of it.

Most people master jack shit. Most don't even have any real hobbies. I want to master something in this life and I think motorcycles are what I want to MASTER. Some people play the cello, some may paint, others might build ships in a bottle. For me, I want to be one hell of a motorcycle rider. What that mastery really means, hell, I don't know. There are no defined terms. If anyone else doesn't like that, I don't care. I just want to excel in multiple two-wheeled disciplines, but I think I'm on a bit of a rant and I'll just stop now. LOL

Might as well post a professionally filmed and edited clip.

This is the Nick Apex vid I mentioned in the first clip. The drift is a bit misleading as the bike has roughly 40%+ more hp and it's TWELVE over with even lower ride height.

Can't find the good vids, but the whole build was inspired by theses Caribbean Islander guys that stretch/slam liter bikes and slide them back and forth, often on sketchy roads, in traffic, with no helmet.

I'm not trying to take anything away from the guy, he's a hell of a rider, but I'm just pointing out for the unfamiliar that the bike certainly plays a factor.

the first bike is fucking sick, BUT, he's not really drifting.. he's just locking up the rear and backing it into the turns.. which definitely isnt easy by any means, but the Icon rider was at least overpowering the tire, not locking it up.
