would have thought the twin would make a bit more torque. my oil cooled i4 1200 is rated at over 70 foot pounds stock as well..

Damnnnn. I just looked around and the stock gearing is 16/40, that is pretty tall! If I were you I'd do 15/42...

keep the stock teeth on the front and go more in the rear, like +5 or whatever....your chain will thank you.

I went -1 +2 on mine, also the HRC throttle piece, opens throttle faster and a PC3. Bike ran strong, I loved first gear.

I think I'm just gonna go -1/+1 and call it a day. from what I was reading -1/+2 makes it even more wheelie prone than it already is and can make 1st and 2nd useless in the twisties.

then just go +3...it's roughly the same as -1+1

im telling you man, your chain will not last as long if you go teeth down on the front bc it has to turn a tighter radius.

I put a -1/+3 set-up on my old roommates RC and it was probably a bit too aggressive. +2 on back is probably a conservative compromise, +3 is probably perfect for me. Stock gearing is waaaaay long.

apparently some guys have issues with the rear tire rubbing the swingarm when its +2 and +3 on the rear. From what I was reading, -1/+1 is perfect b/c there are no issues with the tire rubbing the swing arm.

I recommend one of these too, they're cheap. Makes for a lot of fun with the low end torque
