I know the vast majority of you are sport bike guys, but looking to see the quality of this deal. Would be my first bike, and would last a couple of years.

Guy has all service records, garage kept, new tires, no known problems. Bike has a QD windshield, cobra pipes, mustang seat, sissy bar, saddle bags, and he is throwing in 2 helmets and some chaps that I'm not interested in. Would probably resale the helmets and chaps.

Asking $3000, but open to negotiation... in the KCMO area, most of these bikes are priced around $4k w/out the accessories or have a ton more miles.

I price my bikes off of Nada.com and average price on CL. I also look at miles on the bike. Most aren't afraid of high mileage bikes but I stay under 6k. I also look with a buy/sell in mind.

What I do is use Nada as a baseline and see how they actually compare in real life situations or your general area. Nada is pretty accurate IMO for DFW but there are a lot of things to factor in that Nada won't, such as miles, it being dropped etc.

thanks, I was pretty much going off of craigslist, ebay etc and it's quite a bit less, but you can snag some high mileage 1100's for just around the same price. I thought 7k miles was pretty low for a bike that's nearly 10 years old, but again I don't know a ton about buying a bike. Thanks for the tips though, I was curious which is more accurate for bikes, NADA or KBB. I see AVG retail on NADA is almost $3200 w/ the accessories. I would probably only be interested if I could snag it for $2500... not in any sort of rush, but I like to ask other people's opinions. Especial DFWm guys because they are brutally honest.
