One of our drivers has a old Goldwing that's stripped down cafe style and it looks pretty cool. Haven't ridden it but I bet it's fast as stink! I'd like to pick up an 1125CR one day, just looks comfy.

Saw the vid the other day. Saw a guy ripping down the tollway on some cafe'd bike today and it reminded me I should post this.

I heard the bike coming and expected to see a late-model sportbike, but it was something old cafe'd out on spokes, no clue what it was, and the guy was going well over 100.

That video brings back a lot of memories of my first REAL bike...a 1971 Honda CB500-4 that my dad gave me in 1986 to ride to school when the engine locked up on my CM185T. He insisted that I give it to my uncle in 1990 who was needing transportation in E. Texas. Last time I saw it, it was lying in a field outside of Tyler...laying on its side rusting away...around 1996. That thing was MINT when I gave it away

If its a kick start then there no need for a battery... right?

Unless I'm blind.....I dont see a kick start lever on that thing...plus...given that I know what engine it is...there was never a provision made for a kickstart on it.

I honestly had no idea so I just thought I'd throw it out there. Every kick start I've ever seen was on the right side, but my knowledge is VERY limited in that department.

Run push drop clutch and go?

Maybe it's just not finished, lol.

Also, they make these really small lightweight batteries for racing applications. Could have one of those tucked away under the tank, maybe towards the front of the block, or under the motor???

Stator powers those, not a battery.
